Upped the meds

posted in environment, health |

Still early in the day (supper yet to come) but I’m in a preemptive mode. This cold is degenerating, so I’ve upped the meds. Moved past the simple pill to tried-and-true bluish Benylin. Sleep will follow.

Got the boxes crushed and out to the roadside, so that won’t have me out in the garage in the middle of the night (in a sluggish mode). Once a month, the boxes must depart. Limited space, etc. I’m always surprised at how things pile up, but we live by delivered retail, so packaging is part of the model. Thank you, Amazon, for keeping the boxboard plants solvent in these troubled times.

I’m running out of excuses not to travel. Mind you, there was a letter in the post this afternoon, inviting me to repeat the “poop test”. Two years, already. Hardly time enough to forget. It might be hard to explain to the family if I declined a visit, due to an impending smear. They know what I’m full of.

What else happened, today? A phone call to get a new credit card. I’m waiting for the new PREPAID credit card company to call.

Among the stories that had me pause for a moment: Tesla will deactivate their Supercharger stations for people using the car as a taxi or delivery rig. Supposed to make things fair for others. I wondered “how will they know”, and then realized that in this new, dystopian world, they just do. I’ll work out the mechanics of the system later. Probably in the middle of the night, based on experience.
