School planning notes

posted in education |

Spotted in a tall tree, just outside: three robins. Something seriously out of the ordinary about that. Did I miss the long season?

Seen in a photo: a red fox, on the ground in the Maggies. Again, out of the ordinary.

So many things that I used to take for granted, proven wrong. What’s next? Gold nuggets on the lawn (no evidence, really!!)

Oh well. We’re heading into the Black Friday period, where so many things (to buy) are in evidence, despite no increase in my revenue stream. Having checked the flyer sample that gets dumped in the entry, I’m not really in need of much… that box of dog biscuits (a really big box) would bring happiness, though. My lack of an Instant Pot in the kitchen is intentional, by the way.

In the news, a request that people going to the Grey Cup avoid showing up in their personal vehicles. Makes sense. A better idea; watch the game on TV. Play-by-play. Audio for the half-time show. A great selection of snacks in the fridge. NO, you can’t bring a fridge to the game, just like your car.

Some Island students were asked for input into improving their school. I like the way they think: a slide going from the school door into the school bus! Conversion of the “old” gym into a hockey rink! Architectural drawing in full colour (crayon). And to make sure that the ideas made it all the way to the top, a chance to show off things to the premier. This could be the start of something epic!
