Under the pressure of visitors
A proud moment: I cleaned up my work table today. The pressure of visitors (the kids) was enough to push me into action, and now I can actually see my transceivers. Doesn’t mean any increase in activity (causation/correlation, again), but the possibility exists. Actually fun to find things that were lost in the haze. Maze. Whatever.
It takes time for travel, so my intention to watch a movie still fit the timetable. This time around, Dirty Dancing. No, not the classic from 30 years ago. Rather, a made-for-TV movie with a similar plot line. Lots of known faces. Great music. WIthout getting into the “compare and contrast” assignment, it held together until the end. Might watch them back-to-back, next time around. You know, so I can “compare and contrast” properly.
With so many people around the table, the BBQ was required. I’m still not convinced that darkness is recommended; a flashlight is a poor substitute for sunlight, when it comes to judging colours. As well, the idea of veggies on sticks was added to an already full plate. Flavour was good, but the crunch never got a chance to leave (perhaps longer time on direct heat, next attempt).
There are two dogs in the mix, as well. One is a victim; his bowl empties without effort on his part. By tomorrow, they should sort things out.
And now back to checking on “Harvey”; the storm has come ashore around Corpus Christi, TX with a whollop. Not wishing anyone wet feet, but seeing what a real storm can do is educational.
