Flowers, duck when I’m whacking

posted in technology |

Received a small package today, containing a fret rocker. You can find them closer to home, but I opted for the out of China via eBay plan, which requires patience. In this day of instant gratification, waiting forty-seven days is just a way of teaching us that the world is large, and that a “slow boat from China” is still a thing.

My afternoon involved some quality time with the weed whacker. Out and about, under battery-powered autonomy, reducing the bounty of wild grasses to not much of anything. As for that poor flower that lost its head… teach you to duck when the crazy man comes wandering.

My family tree database passed the 66K mark this evening. Just a tick on a stone (gravestone?), but it proves that I’m able to find new references without stress. Helps me share with others, etc.

A great cartoon came across my desktop, earlier. I’ll not share it here, but the essence of the message  is that there are no alien bodies in storage, or else the current president would have already tweeted the news to the world. We can go back to waiting for a passing saucer again.

Twitter also revealed (what we all sensed): the investigation into the whole Russia/election thing is finally targeting the orange dot in the center. Now for the fireworks to get real. I’m looking forward to learning how a nation that is “too big to fail” handles learning that the core of its political apple isn’t filled with seeds, at all.
