Start fittings for the “impeached” blazer

posted in politics |

After listening to the live broadcast of the Comey Chronicles, I remain convinced that this is going to be an interesting summer for those who get their tricks from the ultimate blood sport (Politics). The man stayed calm, but he left no doubt in my mind: the current president is going to get the “impeached” blazer for his wardrobe. Just a question of when to start the fittings.

We knew the general spin to the story. For the first time, we heard first hand from someone who went behind a closed door and came out to tell his story. Sure, he lost his job, but… details, details. I’m sure that the offers for something better will roll in, as soon as the noise stops.

Next up, for my election hunger: England. The Brexit mess put the current PM in a position where a majority government would make things simpler. The early numbers are trickling in; not sure if she gets her wish. You can only lie to the voter for so long before the elastic band snaps back and fingers sting. Maybe as early as tomorrow? As I write, their polling stations are closed, and early exit polls show that this might have been (another) poorly planned strategy.

Here, in my world, no politics. No controversy. Another afternoon of research and admiration for the pretty yellow birds that gravitate to our front yard feeders. Not a canary in the crowd. Now to find a way to attract the “big guns”… kestrels, kitty hawks, eagles. Sounds like a softball tourney lineup.
