Ducks, goat and a dog
The random juxtapositions of four ducks, a billygoat and a pale yellow Lab on the Intermission Cam kept us distracted during the midshow pause, as we wondered if there was an Audience Cam on the other side of the mirror. We were, for this evening, among the guests of the resident crazies that comprise Sketch 22. A mixture of post-adolescent male fantasies, with a mild skewering of the Anne identity that keeps this Island open for the tourist class. My personal favourite had Moody Spurgeon MacPherson as the homicidal Doppelganger of Eminem, although the varied video sketches are in a class by themselves. The show is aimed at a mature audience, although son #3 doesn’t seem any worse for the wear.
This was the day that had me visit a Barrister and Solicitor for the first time. I’m not sure which one; the discussion skirted any mention of law and order and seemed to focus mainly on fee structure, but then that is the species which classifies the two varieties. It is clear that the government both encourages and profits from any land transaction within the province.
Our supper was one filled with mystery; how many ways can the majestic soy bean be disguised? We had opted for the Formosa Tea House, and although I dearly missed my friends Pork and Beef, we were able to find sustenance. The waitress kept us guessing, by swapping the orders around our table. Bad enough when you don’t know what you’ve ordered, worse when the chances of correctly identifying a plate are equal to some lotteries. The spring rolls were excellent.
Today had people recognizing me in public. Is this due to my new landowner status, or just a dimple in the envelope of my existence?
