The rewards of profligate spending
Turns out that crime DOES pay, at least if your job title is regal enough. The former (small mercy) lieutenant governor has decided to plead guilty to fraud charges after a half-decade of “We are not amused” defense of profligate spending. She is willing to repay almost $310K to the public purse; pity that the amount is short of the $700K considered to be MIA.
