Bags are packed, etc.
Recalling an old tube about “My bags are packed, I’m ready to go” puts the evening in perspective. A miracle. The car is full, and the fridge is empty. The dog is waiting for his boarding announcement, and within a few hours we’ll be on the road east, through a hurricane if the weather probs are correct. Best way to start a summer vacation.
