Road trip reaction
Easy. With a round trip to the city, and no questions asked policy of a national retailer, the electric blanket is returned. We will now spend time trying to find something better suited to our needs. Simple needs, like not being burned on one side during extended sleep.
Closer to home, we started trying to put order into some of the tool boxes that serve other purposes. How many hard drives do a I really need. And as for the screwdriver collection, I will have to figure out how many have gone missing since the last census.
Tonight, we had smoked meat sandwiches. A real change from the usual menu. The wonderful thing is that the taste remains the same, even after years of waiting for the next order. I ate well, and the cleanup took only minutes.
Getting back to the trip to the city. I came ready, but I did not wander aimlessly around the aisles. If I cannot read the prices, I cannot decide on the relevance of any given purchase. Better to make my wishes known, and then see what appears beside my chair.
The channel was changed on the car XM radio, and now I have a whole new set of songs to identify. I love a good musical challenge. The artists remain the same but the order is swapped. Of course with road noise, it does become a challenge. Also they are finding unfamiliar versions of songs just to confuse me.
I do not sing along. I am a passive listener.
