Just a tiny forest fire
Based on my limited news feed, the federal government strike is just about over. I can hear my youngest son giving a deep sigh of relief, because he needs a new passport, and those two things are interlaced.
Elsewhere in my world, there is a minor forest fire burning on the shore side of my world. There is also rain, so I do not expect this to get major. Just a training exercise for our local firefighters who rarely get a chance to drag our the hoses.
Life is sometimes a recognition that stuff happens. Out of view, but ongoing. My own world is a response to the shouting foxes, who know we are in here, and want to keep the channels of communication open.
That rain is a good thing. Been rather dry for the last few weeks, and it will soon be time to plant. I think. I do not run a farm, and I do not know what they want.
We are waiting on the big arrival. Knowing that the bridge to elsewhere is currently restricted by winds has meaning when you are ready for a high sided vehicle to cross. I am sure that all will be resolved, but a little nudge to my belly keeps me ready for unexpected news. And I do pay attention to the wind.
Anything else of interest? Not really. It would be hard placed to furnish stories to the rest of the nation. Wind and rain, in May. That is about all.
