Mental prep for physical trip
If you have been stopping by here, over the hast decade, you will know that we’ve made some significant changes around here. New view from the window, new house, new car, almost new dog. Indeed, we have been busy. And to fit in with all of that, we have also learned a little about the way of the nomad. In the RV.
Life in an ar-vee has modes. Call them qualified and quantified. Do you have water? How much? Is it pure. What about heat? And the waste tanks? More questions than answers, generally.
The first and the second rigs are roughly equal. A case in point, is the propane supply. On the first rig, it never ran out. Magical? More that we had a penchant for KOA, with all the comforts. This time around, we hop to explore our ability to boondock. In comfort. I fear we have a lot to learn. The dog might be pressed into service as a body warmer, once it gets chilly. He doesn’t know that, yet.
I have been studying the capabilities, in anticipation. The rig is not here yet, but the mental gymnastics are keeping be a wake at night. Might beg for better batteries, and one of those fancy satellite internet gadgets. And a neat water filter, maybe. Still thinking that through.
I will keep you up to date, as we progress. But I will yell if we get cold or short of water. This will serve as my virtual postcard. Do not forget about us.
