Just a hiccup

posted in Uncategorized |

When the tweet announced that their boy had mastered the use of the home toilet, I figured it was another case of proud parents. The photo told us so much more. Those pointed ears. That tail. A cat! Parents are funny that way. My own conclusion is that the feline brain looked outside and realized the humans had a good idea, for once.

We are also proactive about the weather. When the RV dealer phoned, wondering if we were flexible about a delivery date, we looked outside. Nasty. Any transporter arriving from Upper Canada would be forced to go through some wind driven wet. Since we have no plans to get away, soon, the negotiation was very brief.

We will take delivery once the season has changed, and save ourselves the stress of a winter run. I mean, we’ll be back to warm in about three months. Little more than a heartbeat.

The daughter of Elvis has passed. You might remember her brief marriage to Michael. I watched an old interview, and she barely admitted to that dalliance. Let’s file that under the Lives and Deaths of the Rich and Famous and get back to our own reality. Did I mention it is raining? All according to your priorities. Have I been outside? No way! That was the point of adding windows to the house when we had it built. If current trends continue for another few hours, the snow will be gone. I can then forecast an early spring to the rest of the family. Please, don’t burst by bubble with reminders that this is just a hiccup.
