Individually wrapped portions
The season tree is gone. Escaped during the night. For about two weeks, the prime real estate in the center of the living room has hosted a tall bit of fakery, with lights and whizzy things and so many memory tokens. Few visitors; none of the kids. One dog. No damage from a tale, or a tremor. I expect the return, eleven months hence.
I wonder if I could do like so many others and create a video detailing the best stuff from our camping crate. Best tumblers. Nested cookware. Knives that barely cut but strike fear into burglars (haven’t actually tested that one).. I mean, we’ve been camping for decades, and our paraphernalia is as good as anyone else. If I happen to be in a sporting goods store, the possibility of adding to the inventory keeps me alive. No new tent on my list. As an aside.
Just had a dessert pause. On the table, a bowl of bananas. Part way between green and yellow. Firm. No fruit flies. Tasty without being yucky, although a side of ice cream would have improved things slightly. I like to think that this is all about nutrition. A source of potassium. Truth be told, it still is all for the dessert factor. Balance in my diet. Plus, each piece is individually wrapped in a biodegradable cover.
Not always sure which day of the week is up to bat, but tomorrow we might get the gas tank recharged. Meaning the CO2, rather than the gasoline or the propane. Without fizzy water, we could end up back in the arms of the soda industry, and that won’t do. I will bake sure the cylinder gets placed (safely) in the car, before its next city trip.
