Keep on learning
Technology: why you agree to be a life-long learner. The stuff evolves, and if you develip a ten-year mindset, the road is going to be bumpy. By that, I mean that things you learned ten years ago might require refreshing. Not that you should pretend to be ten years old. You knew that, rignt?
Today, I learned a bunch of stuff. Like that you can clean a black tank with ice cubes. Rather specific detail. Better things that I kearned included the tidbit that wifi is improving. Generally, not specifically. If your wifi is sluggish, that’s a specific. Again, you knew that. Right? Moving along.
We’ve been weighing the specific solution provided by Starlink, which is also evolving. I hadn’t considered the older technology of cellphone data plans, but I am going to investigate. Newer modems, with better antennas, and multiple SIMs. Time to read up on the advances. I want to evolve beyond the hotspot from a smartphone. And it turns out that the industry is being pushed to evolve. People in the RV niche don’t want to drage a CAT5 cable from the house. Won’t work. There; saved you an experiment.
Actually, I have the whole winter to evolve, but getting started early will remove pressure. Did you realize that summer is only six months away? Better to do your testing in the comfort of your home and driveway, Let road time be productive (heard that in a video).
Also, I have to relearn a few stealth camping skills. The ones I acquired a lifetime ago are stale. As someone else put it, that knock on the door in the middle of the night will wake you up.
