How much is too much wind?

posted in Uncategorized |

I get it. The wind was blowing, this afternoon. However, just because I picked up the guitar, it wasn’t a validason to turn off the power. We know how that game is played. Yes, I had “genny” for company, and we loaned out our kitchen. Just a note, though. The winter will seem really long, if this is the dance. Come on!  Fix the system.

For those who quickly jump to conclusions, my deciding to touch the guitar had nothing to do with a generalized power failure. Right?

The results from yesterday’s local election didn’t change much. I recognized the names of the fortunates. There were no “scores”, which is a kinder way to treat those that didn’t get picked to serve, going forward.

We have another hurricane on the (weather) radar. A lot can change between now and the weekend. Time for me to decide if I want to clear the decks. I usually don’t, when faced with high winds. There was a hint of snow flurries, earlier today. Soon. At least I know where I stashed my boots and parka, and the shovels are always near the outside doors.  I think we have a standing agreement with the snow guy. If not, we will knock on his door.

My short visit to the basement (the guitar rack) revealed nothing of note. A generation from now, I hope that the same conditions will be in place. Even more, I hope that * will be. Age creep.

And a nod to the PM of ON, who rescinded his draconian law in the education sector.
