Play along, perhaps
For those that are paying attention to the numbers (pretty much anyone in the province), the lights are coming on. Slowly. We are down below 200 homes without power, which is the lowest number since late in the evening of 23-Sep-2022. Things are going so well that the military (two different contingents) have been sent back to base, because the locals have things under control. Now back to regular programming.
I am not sitting by idly, waiting for “the next time”. There are four new solar panels waithing for their next moment in the sun. I have moved to increase my propane storage. I now have a low tech solution to flushing (a big bucket, just outside the door). The dog has been warned to stop dumping on the communal walkways. Every little step counts (yes, your hairiness, I’m refeffing to you. We feed/you get back into step).
Anything else of note, as we await the start of WW3? That one is beyond my control. I should learn how to covert salt water into fresh, just in case. Not keen on investing in a home desalination plant. I mean, we are far enough away from the imaginary “Ground Zero” to make me feel safe at home, but there are a lot of crazy politicians out there.
I think I’ll tune into Celtic Colours. Runs through this week, and although I won’t be driving over to join the queues, I can still watch. Play along (with the trad slow airs). A lifetime of learning, right there.
