My day, in a halfhearted review
Some questions should not be asked.
What did you do today? (Nothing). Did you travel? (Up to the corner and back). Go shopping? (I confess, my visit to a nearby gift boutique did not cost me anything. I even left my wallet at home, to desonstrate my intentions to spend nothing). Give the dog any treats? (Yes, but without asking for tricks.) Go for a walk? (To the car) See anyone you knew? (Apparently. A former student. I cannot claim to have seen the person, but we waved)
Read any good books? (No, but there was a short documentary on YT, and that was written by someone)
Actctally, my day was a bit of a nothing burger. But there is always tomorrow. Good thing that I am retured. I would hate to pay my salary.
How about you? Was today better than yesterday? Will tomorrow be outstanding, in any way?
Am I in a rut? Not at all. I did spend time planning how I will put up some antennas. I carried bird seed from the car to the house, which justified my going for a walk. Short distance, but important to the fauna that abound. I did try to see the fallen trees. So many, the whole area is an open vista. I contemplated adding another sweater to my collection, while in a boutique, and I showed great restraint. I mean, the merchant had other hopes, but I realized I now have enough clothing to get me through an average “day in the life”. And when I go to bed, in a few hours, I will go without any sense of guilt. A good day.
