An invisible envelope
Somewhere, here on my des which upktop, is an envelope. Technically, the desktop is really the dining room table, but one flat surface replaces another, when a laptop is deployed. The available surface is limited, because we have stuff. I was shown the envelope, this morning, and my grasp of the situation was that “it” would be in plain sight. That’s the wrinkle in the universe.
I don’t see the envelope. Physically. I moved a lot of stuff around, and employed an illuminated viewer to read the small print. Nothing. Now I’ll wait for assistance.
What’s so important? Does it contain a treasure map? Nope. I received a small SD card that will be used to update one of the utility radio receivers. On behalf of its owners, a half-world away. Should there be a question about the delay, I will explain that I live a long way from the city, and the deelivery people failed to let me know of the timely need to deploy. Or something like that. Given the number of other receivers out there, an assumption will be made that we just move slowly around here. And that’s true. I’m supposed to be abbouncing the approach of ocean vesssels, and I haven’t seen one in months I’m sure to get things done before the sudden onset of summer sailing. Or not.Hey, if you want things done faster, send a specialist. I’d enjoy having a new voice in the house, if only for a few minutes.
I had great intentions to move mountains, downstairs. So far, I’ve made bread and pondered how the universe is unfolding. The bread turned out well, and the universe doesn’t care what I think.
