Finding the right way up
My ability to quantify precipitation, particulary rainfall, is limited. If I place a bucket by the outside door, and the bucket fills overnight, I can call that heavy. If it sounds like a firehose on the roof, for several minutes, not so much. This afternoon, we had exactly that level. I had been invoted to go for a walk in the woods, and I had declined. Other responsibilities, like doing my laundry. A weak excuse that saved me from being really wet, I guess.
I have a complaint, if Apple is listening. For the last while, I have learned to appreciate the Lightning connector. No wrong way up. With the latest iteration, the company has moved to the USB-C connector. I assume that they had their reasons. However, we’re back to the right side up way of life. With low low light, or low visual actuity, the by guess or by gosh technique has retured. Oh, right. USB. Say no more.
Not much else I can add. I’m perplexed by the little things. Puts me in the same camp as the dog, who passes the day (and night) moving from one bed pad to another. I don’t want to make his final years any harder than they already are. He seems content to shuffle from here to there and then slump. Like me. It’s a sign of maturity. In my case, I still understand that the bed is the best for long period of snoring.
Outside of here, no deliveries. No visitors. Just another afternoon far from the crowds. Hard to believe that I went to the city, yesterday. I haven’t forgotten the details, but I am glad to be back where I belong.
Within minutes of my initial posting, I learned that the connector is flippy. No right way up. There, now we all know.
