The fantasy of the draft
After yesterday, I still had questions about the debt reduction model of scam. Happily, another call came in this afternoon. Proof that this is a business model that has no respect for the sanctity of the weekend. With an expert on the line, I asked who was actually going to pay for my reduced debt… no real answer. So, I checked to see if there was a maximum, and got the clarification about how it would be calculated once the numbers were known (my credit card numbers, to clarify). I went one tiny step further, and asked if there was a minimum balance; say, one dollar. I guess that was too small, because the call ended abruptly. I’ll find out more, the next call. There is always another opportunity.
April ends on a high note, because we did not get the snowstorm forecast elsewhere. Still a few hours left in the day, but I am less worried about the sudden return of winter. Up at the Lake, some sea glass was found. I know. Lake. Sea. Sand.
Two weeks before travel, and the stress levels are climbing.
Apparently pro football drafts are IMPORANT! Several days of coverage on my social media. I don’t play fantasy football, so I don’t care about draft fantasy. Oh, wait. Not exactly the same thing. This has to do with the hope (lust?) for certain young men to turn their talent for pain into big dollars. They (any one of them) could be The One. Did I mention fantasy? I guess that you can turn pain into pleasure.
Meanwhile, that young woman from Nova Scotia is continuing to amaze the crowd, with her Jeopardy exploits. Should I pay attention to the winnings or the “streak”? Haven’t watched the show in ages. I wonder if there’s a YouTube version, to fuel my need for trivia.
