A few more photos, if possible
A special nod of thanks is due to all those who have recorded my world with photos, over more than my lifetime. I still haven’t spotted myself, and I wonder if I do will I dispappear into some strange parallel universe. I’ll take that risk. There are photos that show my father’s home, wwhen he was stillll in elementary school. And homes that are no more. Shipwrecks. Trains. I love them all.
Had a brief chat with a relative, dealing with a famous naval ship that beached here long before my birth. Turns out that some good sized objects were salvaged, and now I want to go and visit folks. Bring along one of my sons and turn this into a multi-generation field trip. Summer?
This ties in well with one of my dream projects; take some senior citizens out for a Sunday drive. Run the GPS and a tape recorder. Collect their memories. Turn it all into a multimedia show. Could happen. I mean, the best kind of record of a community goes beyond aerial photos, and adds recall. We all have slide show inside of us.
The CO2 cylinder is back. Refilled/rechared. For about $50 we should have enough bubbly water to get us through the next year. I haven’t determined our usage pattern, but I’ll get there. Out of need or boredom (or both).
Our current fascination involves the fox family that has taken up sentry duty outside our front door. If I left the door ajar, I’m sure they’d be in, all comfy on the couch. Or the bed. Wild beasts? Hardly. Even the dog has a custom bark, to prove that he cares for his new friends. I wonder what they all think, one of the other.
