On the circuit
One of the joys we have from living in the country is watching outside. As the song says, “the birds, the bees, the flowers and the trees”. All part of our daily entertainment.
Among the more animated creatures, we have the birds, where we serve as a food source. Yes, those oversized sacks of sunflower seed are appreciated. Nothing wasted. And if we leave a dispenser in an empty state, the birds tend to head on down the highway.
We also have been added to te circult by our local foxes. In fact, those pretty faces will arrive and watch the house, ever hopeful that we’ll forget an egg on the grass. Or snow. This is a four season effort. What I want to know is how the members of their community pass along the possibilities; we’ve watched, and the discovered eggs are not shared.
For those that want to discourage egg scavenging, I don’t have an answer. We put one down and it disappears. No direct contact, or approval given.
Like many others, I’m watching the trucker story unfold. Ottawa is a parking lot. The big bridge, in Windsor, is another issue. Serious money involved in that chapter of the tale; car plants are closing from a lack of materials. At some point, there’s going to be a backlash, and it won’t be one fueled by the desire for a new ride.
There will be a movie-of-the-week. Probably showing in a drive-in, with a lot of vintage cars.
As for the honking in the capital, the drivers won’t be missed when they leave. The appropriate movie? Nobody Waved Goodbye. Any time the minority manages to anger the majoirity, things fall apart.
