Shelter from future storms
I came across an interesting take on future refugee movement, today. From the former governor of California, no less. He points out that humanity has fled worse, seeking better, for most of history. And now, people are ready to consider Canada as a new homeland. No, this is not flight from political discord (although such a reason makes sense). Rather, look to the wildfires. They’re Getting more invasive, each year, triggered by global warming and the effects of population growth. And here in Canada, we have room, water, and cooler temperatures. Yes, there have been fires, in northern Alberta and BC. But, so far, the permanent tourist wave has been slow to pick up on our paradise as a destination. With someone as famous and credible as the former governor, that may change.
