A step closer to snow-gone
My web browser updated itself, and now everything is risky. Like having that robot that used to zoom around shouting “Danger, Will Robinson!” I know that my blog doesn’t offer encrypted logins; tried to fix it but the price is too high. I’m calling this “acceptable risk”, and having the browser loading additional educational pages to keep me warned is overkill.
I mean, web security is important, but…
The freezing rain skirted us, and we’re a step closer to snow-gone. Unless that storm system now out west makes it here in the new week. As if I have any control over things. Time to build some more radio gear. Get some satellite data in a fancy Raspberry Pi project, perhaps. All for the educational value.
I learned, from a newsfeed story, that Neanderthals were “self-medicating”. Remarkable, that from a found tooth scientists can tell there was a family doctor shortage in the area. Will they record the same thing about me, centuries hence? Given that I haven’t had a personal physician for decades, I’ve become pretty efficient at Googling and using over-the-counter solutions. Must remember to buy some more ASA tablets to split, soon. And don’t get me started on how I cure intestinal woes. Not yet given to copying the dog (and eating grass), but salad comes close, right?
More bone stories. The latest theory out of a water-cooler roundtable is that the prehistoric folk were here until recently. Guess your idea about timeline management is flawed. Only thoroughly modern neighbours in my area.
