Update my list
No, really. I know where the lightswitch is located. I’m sitting in the darkness because I choose to.
Get asked things like that, often enough. There’s a lot less noise in a dim space. Go ahead, try it. Particularly if you happen to spend your days in a school, but elsewhere too. I think we’d have less economic turmoil if the lights were dimmed in the stock exchange, for example. Far too much vocal noise. Similarly, we should have basketball games under the (extingushed) floods. No sense running pell-mell up and down the length of the courts; the baskets won’t move away.
On the other hand, I do turn on a light when knives come into play. Cutting cheese or other foodie things requires more than a chopping block to keep my fingers intact.
Enough about darkness. The days are getting longer; did you notice? Do you care? Or are you one if those people that believe Edison solved the biggest crisis confronting mankind? I like that I can make a market run, before supper, and not need my high beams until the homeward leg.
Another day where I did something of importance. I signed a contract, where for a change it wouldn’t play with my lifestyle. Almost like a boss or something. Even if I never do it again, that’s one more thing checked off my list. I should try and find that long spool of intentions and bring it up to date. Make a backup copy while I’m at it. Can you imagine if my list disappeared? A life without purpose?
