No cranking achieved
I’ve cleared the deck of snow cover, again. That forecast announcing rain later this evening was inspiring; fluffy snow is a nuisance, wet snow is a heavy load. Now I’ll sleep without the fear of an impending collapse.
Once the heavy hauling was complete, I figured that a short milk run might be justified. Uh-uh… the battery is stone dead, and even after several hours of charging time, the block has not climbed beyond 65%. No cranking allowed. I’ve checked with my local garage, and methinks that my holiday gift, this year, might come with the ability to recharge. We’ll see on Monday.
This was a social day, as well. Up the road to the neighbour’s home, led by an excited dog. He rarely gets to walk anywhere for a visit. He actually behaved himself, after the first few minutes of hall sprints, and I’m back home without a halo of shame (for either of us). This was also an afternoon of games, involving tinsel and garlands and throwing cotton balls as quickly as possible. All to entertain the children (wink!). I’m sure they’ll reflect, once older, on the crazy stuff their parents and peers used to do in public performance. Like mine did…
Now I’m going to settle back and relax. Might be time to watch a good movie or read a good book. The kind of things I imagined I’d do, someday. Perhaps I’ll break out some storm chips (even though the heavy weather has ended). If the sky clears up, there’s a risk of (meteor) showers.
