If only I knew the specs
Today, it was my turn to “take one for the team”. Second time in several weeks, actually. My afternoon, in glorious weather, was spent trying to control a small parking lot during a community function.
Car owners are a fiercely independent slice of society. You can point your finger and cajole, but in the end they will park where they want, as if there was nobody else in the neighbourhood. And when they get blocked in (whether or not they actually are), then they point their fingers. A good way to ruin an otherwise easy day. No matter. According to the calendar, there are no other reserved dates this season. Unless I decide to play the fool and just show up in a parking lot with my bright yellow jacket, the cars can do whatever they want.
Right now, it really feels like summer. We’re still not into twilight, and if I wanted to wander up the road with the dog, it would seem like a great idea. Wait until after dark… not so much.
I’ve been trying to figure out how much of a UPS would be required for one of our appliances. Oddly, I can’t find the power requirements anywhere. Not in the owner manual, or on the company site. No specification plate attached (at least that I can find). My research in the various online forums reveals nothing at all. If only I had one of those neat power measuring devices that I’ve read about. Hardly worth trying to get one of my own, for a single use, but if any of my friends have one in their respective basements, now is the time to come to my rescue.
