Getting access to drugs

posted in health |

I’m fascinated by the on-going trial of the senator from here. We’re in Day 55, but that means little. Legal kerfluffle for the first seven weeks. No, the interesting part actually started three days ago, and counting. Wherein the person of interest has decided to start filling pages with his story.

You see, the senator is famous. He knows a lot of people. And, to embellish his tale, he drops names. A lot. I’m sure that there are many people “tuning in” just to see who will get mentioned. Not me; we’ve never met, but due to the fine art of climbing a family tree (hand over hand), I know who the senator is related to. Again, not me, directly, but we have certain common mentions along the way. This evening, I filled in the branch of his grandchild (a big deal, for any grandparent). Tomorrow, who knows? I’ll be checking the blog on CBC.

Stopped in to meet my new pharmacist, and start the paperwork for getting access to my drops (eyes) before I run dry. At least he recognized the brands, which means that the whole idea makes sense. Now I just have to figure out the co-pay part.

Son #3 has had a few days at home, while they install new gear at the plant. They called this evening, inviting him to return tomorrow morning. That’s a positive thing, in a place where the number of jobs doesn’t match the number of workers. I’m thankful to be out of that market. In passing, my last employer sent me a seasonal card. As usual, I’ll need to consult the organigramme to decipher the signatures.
