Ruled lines and goo

posted in environment |

Take a preference for ruled lines, a nasty chemical goo and patience. Apply the three to a job at hand and wait (for at least three hours). Thanks to son #3, the tub now has new joints, just in time for the next need to shower up. Good work, under uncomfortable conditions; kneeling over a standard tub is a good way to “put your back out”, after you reach a certain age.

There are other needs around the house, and now that he’s proven his ability, I’ll be willing to delegate. Sorry, kid.

Watched the bronze medal match from the Briar. Only today were the amounts in the money bags revealed. I now understand the competitive zeal demonstrated by several teams. To earn as much as others take home in a month, for doing something you enjoy (even in a Calgary arena); perfect sense. No, I don’t aspire to their podium. No longer have “ten thousand hours” to devote to the art. I will keep on watching, as we head toward the various world level competitions.

Son #2 is winding up his Euro Tour – a member of his team did win gold. Not much gold, but bragging rights; sometimes that’s all you get.

That plane that went down in the waters off Indonesia, a year ago: give it up, folks, that plane is gone. Consider how hard it is to find your keys, in your own home. Multiply by the “as big as an ocean” factor. If your head explodes from the effort, little matter. That plane is still gone. Now, figure out a way to prevent it happening the next time around.
