Progressing

posted in environment |

I’m going to make a small footnote beside today on the calendar. Mark this one as “progressing”. The call around breakfast time involved the person actually working at the house, so I’ll assume it to be more than anecdotal.

Some direct questions, about where I wanted plugs and switches in the basement and garage. Now, this might be a stretch, but I guess that means that there IS a basement and garage; that delivery can’t be far off. Also, questions about the deck and outside stairs. YES!

I answered as best I could (that model on the iPad takes on new importance), and then phoned the heat pump installer. He plans to move the unit in, tomorrow, since an interior stairwell is now part of the package. I am so impressed.

Time to get surfing, and find some related images. I can imagine that the palleted pump looks like this:

The image came from the dealer’s site; I’m including my use in the total cost of ownership.

If the underfloor PEX has been laid in, and there are no leaks, and the electrician had the required 50A breaker, and…  In a best case, there might be heat this week, which allows a whole slew of other jobs to be done.

I am clearly optimistic, and living vicariously.

Another image, of what my machine room might soon resemble. Again, the image is not mine, but the money is. For now. The cost of doing business.

And now to relax. At least, until the next crisis.
