Now to consider the value of options
First of all, “Goodbye, Mork”. Today we received an actual quote for a new house. Time to pause and consider our options. We had gone early, and waited only a brief time before “the man bearing muffins” arrived. After a brief recap of the want list, we left with the promise of something written out by tomorrow. It actually arrived today. That’s a good thing, right?
The plan for the afternoon involved western exploration (code for touring in a different part of the Island). We were distracted by a strip mall containing “stuff” for those who want a better kitchen.
The “stuff” was very cool, although I have no idea why I need a $15K barbecuing centre, in addition to a huge kitchen. How huge? I considered removing the dining and living room area for the new house and going with All Kitchen, All The Time. Bigger than anybody needs, unless they have an old-school family.
Next door, floors. So many options. So many colour possibilities. Time to go back to my good friend Google…
When a call came in from old friends (that auto transferred to the auto), we nixed the Westward Ho! Off to spend the afternoon on a south facing deck, catching up on a few seasons of living. The birds provided the colour for our commentary, later in the p.m.
And then, back to camp with an enroute detour to replace the camp stove/ camp fire igniter. As it happened, the cook shelter wood stove was (is) on, so this post is a product of creature comfort.
