Signs that the stop is elsewhere

posted in humour |

The transit company has taken the next step. My bus stop now has multiple white signs, informing me that as of Monday next, I will be elsewhere (or feeling silly). The bus driver didn’t have any idea where elsewhere should be, so I’ll have to get out the maps and orienteer my way back to base. Should be fun, if the rain holds off.

Or I could just stay at work for the next month. You can see how I’m torn between two possibilities.

On the Island, the two schools in Souris will start summer early. Has to do with construction needs. The parents are worried about lost time, etc. Guess nobody asked the kids for a counterpoint.

In the Scary Science section, check out “chipmunks and small birds”. Or not.

Social Media is quiet this evening. Something about a crucial hockey game. I am so not there. Whether or not I switch the TV to the appropriate channel will have no effect on the outcome of the game. Ergo, I might as well do something else. Anything else.

We’re about to join the Cloud at work (for email and productivity software). That’s good, right? More quota for all those messages that just refuse to be erased. An need for conectivity for any document I create. Probably some other advantages, as yet undetermined. Suppose it balances out a workplace where I couldn’t write, because I forgot my pen in the VC room and had no access while the boss class had an important meeting. Helps to have a good memory and a quiet day…
