Solo day not holiday

posted in environment |

I’m ready. After swapping in the original drive containing Win8, my laptop is now ready for Win8.1 to arrive. Had to figure out the UEFI combination, but such things are qualified as minor bumps on the road to OS success. And now I’m back to the safe, familiar territory of Win7. All in a day’s effort.

This was an almost solo day around the house. Son #3 left for work in mid afternoon, and wife (no number necessary) came home for her road trip in time for supper. In between, a couple of loads of laundry. Do what you want with your holidays; mine are cheap thrills. I did watch that pawn shop show for too long, and I also learned about a new career field: repo airplanes for the Man. Takes a few job skills that I don’t currently have, but Google will take care of that irritant. I wonder if I can practice at the local International, or are they on the lookout for stuff like that?

No more long weekends before the big holiday break in December. I’m going  to have to think Zen.

Canadian rail lines may be on strike before the end of the month. Haven’t they learned that the current government doesn’t allow such things? In a fascist nation, the trains run on time. Think about it. And keep a watch on the national news headlines. Then tell me I’m wrong. The oil sands industry might be the man behind the curtain…

Now back to our regular programming.
