Shadowy sky
Hat’s off to the designers of our current car. Today, in a rare test of load capacity, we were five adults and a dog, on the road for about four hours. The car nver bottomed out, or protested on the hills, or ran out of gas at an inopportune moment. Go, Rogue go.
The dog was offput at his treatment; cargo mutt. He had more space than the rest, but he had to share it with a long board and a water jug. Plus the interminable waits for the humans to “drop back for a visit”. Still, when we sat back in for the return leg at sunset, his disposition was cheery. The photo that follows has nothing to do with any of this…
Moving right along. This was an emotional day for those of us on site (a burial) but also a chance for reconciliation and new contacts.
Did you know that randomly matching a tie with a shirt is not a good idea? Yesterday, my “choice” worked. Today it didn’t. In a spirit of compromise I hid the tie under my windbreaker, in the car, and carried on. Next time, I may not be so lucky.
Missed another bullet. I could have gone for junk food at lunch. I abstained. Tomorrow, it won;t even matter.
At some point, I received a gift of a phone battery. You know, one of those odd boxes that contains a healthy cell and several connector for times when juice is more important than the air around us. No need to use during the first year. Over the last two days; three times. Better than gold when needed.
