Record, listen, erase, repeat
Back into recording my efforts on the guitar. For public presentation, no less. Sit in a quiet bedroom, with the laptop and Audacity ready to record. Hit the round button, grab the guitar, work through the exercise, hit stop. Listen, erase, repeat until I hit the wall. You know, that place where “it isn’t going to get any better (today), so I might as well save the effort”. Five times tonight, in keeping with the five requested submissions. Upload, link to the reporting form and then get out of there. Until the next time.
On to mixing orange juice from concentrate. About the same level of complexity as the musical thing. About as musical, too. There has to be more to my life than this. The orange juice, I mean. A brief punctuation on the breakfast menu. Tasty, in a mechanical sort of way. I do get real oranges, regularly, just to reference (and they add to my Vitamin C intake). Healthy living.
Imagine; almost half way through another work week. We’re short handed, but at least we’re not getting cut by the latest round of budget compressions. Talking to a co-worker, who will have to change to another building and pick up additional dossiers (because someone else was judged as surplus to the cause). Meanwhile, the government seems to have a fix on my earnings, similar to some vicious multi-beaked parasite. Funny how THEY can’t loosen the hold. And the basic theme for some of us involves an old rock song about trying to get out of here alive.
