Priorities for design of a bucket list

posted in history |

I wish I still had that “going to live forever” mentality that blesses the young folk. Not that I want to get careless or fearless or anything less; I just would like some assurance that I’ll have time to do all the things I still want to do. In simple terms, I hadn’t thought about the relevance of a bucket list.

Still don’t have one – that’s for later, but the idea has its good points. If there is just a fixed amount of time before my “best before” date kicks in, then there is a need to classify and set priorities. Things like learning to spell all the words I want to use, instead of settling for a workaround when the spell-check flags whatever (OK, prioritize). My first real book isn’t completed (begun). Ditto for my first album, or my tour of the known world. Even the dog has a better idea about what should happen next; getting fed might not be the only answer, Hairy One!

The pool is almost clear, even if the air temperature and water temperature are both in zones considered hazardous for health. Maybe next week.

Discovered another couple of features in my synthesis software. Not sure what they do, but hitting TAB revealed another view of things and some imaginary patching tricks. Yes, it’s Reason, and an article in a magazine clued me to what to look for. Another good reason to consume periodicals along with classics in the personal library. Completed another week of lectures in  the Music History course, and decided to sign up for part two, even if it  is scheduled during the hiatus. Internet is everywhere; I can download and view on demand.
