Slow and sure, but on your own time

posted in environment |

I have isolated one of the memory leaks in my browser. Recently, every time I went into FB, time seemed to slow to a crawl. Turned out that the toolbar which flagged new messages (in FB) has a flaw, and pages climbed to close to a GB of memory in minutes. Now, the problem is solved. Just go to my FB wall to see how…

I jest, but only a little.

Another Newfoundland and Labrador ad, on TV. I feel drawn in. I must return. Is there some sort of subliminal message hidden in the content? Is that legal, to hide all signs that fog lives there?

In passing, nothing interesting happened in my world today. Tomorrow can only be better. I should send out email alerts to the responsible people, demanding better entertainment. Oh, wait; there was one moment worth mentioning. My bus was late, for the third day in a row. Late bus arrivals mean missed departures, in my case forty minutes each time, so I stopped to query the driver. You know, was there something special I should know about?

He looked me straight in the eye and suggested I call client services, because he drives at the posted speed limit. The bus line should jerrymander (yes, I think it’s the right word) the schedule, giving him sufficient time to be legal and prudent. Enough already. If you are the ONLY driver in the whole network that drives at the posted speed limit, you have become an island unto yourself. And the clients are not impressed with your diligence.
