Hardly the frenzied dance we feared

posted in politics |

Today was “Dogcam Day”, and before leaving for the bus, I carefully pointed the camera and checked that things were visible on the phone. How times have changed!

I did check in, during the day, and based on a few minutes of observation I now know how the dog spends the day. Standing, watching the front door, barking from time to time and wagging his tail. Hardly the frenzied dance we’d feared, but it explains something else. If you stand all day, lying down in the evening is a just reward. How to break it to him that he can sleep during the day if he wants to? He’s not a sentinel.

The Senate greed continues. Three, four, maybe more. All collecting that stipend for the wrong reasons. One senator went to jail this afternoon, on another charge, leaving the rest of us wondering. Do they really have ironclad job security? The constitution isn’t clear on the subject, but we’re waiting.

Another snow day on the Island. This time, due to snow moving sideways. Almost a variation on the old antigravity game. I saw some photos, and there was nothing to see. Literally. Winter at its finest. I can’t wait to get back to it!

In recent viral video… a woman in Tel Aviv was fined for parking in a handicapped parking zone. The glitch; when she parked her car, the zone wasn’t marked. With the help of some connected friends, she got to view some security camera footage that showed a city work crew painting a sign beneath her parked car, and then towing her away. Yes, she beat the ticket.
