Leadership races are like fantasy football

posted in politics |

For my friends that feel I’m impatient, hear this. My SDR kits have been in the house for several days, and I haven’t tried to begin “building”. Yes, there have been other distractions, but I haven’t rushed headlong into anything. There. For the record.

Watching an interview with a member of the Glee cast; much cooler than I would have expected.

Spent a productive lunch hour correcting an error. My error. Last week I created a dozen new voicemail accounts and proudly sent off the list to the school principal. This morning, an email, asking when the accounts would be activated. Remember, I’m learning my VOIP guru rule by swimming in the deep end. There are as many mysteries for me  as if I was a total noob in the business. I had forgotten to link the numbers to extensions, because I hadn’t created them. Didn’t even know it was necessary. And so I reverse engineered a working account, and then fumbled around for the next half hour getting my ducks in a row. Things now work, but holy hellfire! Could someone give me some documentation on this labyrinth?

Everywhere I look, a new leadership race. So many willing candidates (most of them devoid of any endearing qualities).  Given that I’ll never meet any of them, when it comes time to vote the whole procedure will be sadly akin to fantasy football. Yes, I listen to the commercials. Yes, I read the flyers. No, I don’t have a chance of making a decision that is meaningful. For the record, little T gets my attention only because big T was so awesome in the role.
