A possible solution to my shingle problem

posted in politics |

I guessed that my world of telephone support would “quiet down” once summer started. Error. First day of the new year, with two new lines to install. The patch panel numbers are wrong, and if I hadn’t unplugged someone who actually knew the why and the wherefore, I’d still be scratching my head. As well, four schools have new principals and I can’t fix their voicemail and ID tags, due to the “down” status of our server. And a school psychologist can’t log in. Too many problems for this time of year. I’m anxiously awaiting the (next) weekend.

We’ve received a second submission for the roofing needs at home. This time around, we seem to have found a true professional, who isn’t out to scam the world at large. Methinks I’m going to call for a second meeting and sign the contract, before we miss our spot in the worklist queue. Meanwhile, I’m hoping for a relatively dry summer.

Turns out that the PM is in town (or was) and he didn’t call me. Forget it, Stevie. This was your chance to redeem yourself (an important action for someone of such evangelical bent). I’m back to thinking the worst about your people abilities. Enjoy your next few years. And did your motorcade really require three limos? The PM and his Posse, coming to a music video near you.

We lost another star today. Andy of Mayberry has checked out. Never saw you play a nasty man, in all your efforts. Outstanding match of character to real life.
