Weather to envy
About this time of year, many people head off to a beach in the south. I’ve never done that, so it isn’t part of my wish set. Instead, I have a very pragmatic view; if there must be weather, let it provide entertainment and relaxation time. Right now, I’m in deep weather envy.
Central Park in NYC has been buried in 58 cm of snow. A record. As I write (type, print, whatever) PEI is in the throes of a blizzard, which throws a ton of snow into that big fan in the sky and lets it all come back in your face. Real weather. No traffic. Nothing open. Get in the house where you belong. If you have a barn, make sure you tie a rope to it.
(That was a reference to a story I read back about grade four). I never had a barn that needed to be tied to the house, unlike the dog (who never had a barn either, come to think of it).
So, tomorrow I will rise to another sunny cold day and hope the bus is on time. I envy the rest of the winter world.
