Periodic drops

posted in health, science |

The musical flavour for today is retro. Think about a time before Woodstock, when the chorist and the tremelo were important. Think about Motown before anyone did rap or hiphop. Think about singers that doubled as movie stars.

Not my fault: Randy Bachman has picked up where Phil Collins left off (referring to his latest album). Good headphone music, since the rest of the family doesn’t groove to this material. Not mellow enough to make me sleepy, but no headbanging here.

I’m preparing for surgery by putting in anti-bacterial drops every couple of hours. Time goes by, quickly, when the only other things to do involve laundry and kitchen duties. Which I skipped this evening, relying on the team at Quiznos. The temperature outside reached 10C, which knocks over the banks (of snow). Another day or two and the deck will be free for BBQ fun.

As an informed voter, I watched a whole segment, on CPAC,  from the Malpeque riding. Easter vs Ogilvy vs Jackson vs Bevan-Baker. Not my concern, but if I lived there I would actually know a politician. Would it influence how I voted? Possibly. Pity that the people in my area won’t be given a mini-documentary, but how do you photograph a phantom? I checked Hansard for quotes, but ghosts don’t speak.

Watching son #2 “shopping” for an apartment (we all have dreams), it strikes me that paying rent is as expensive as carrying a mortgage. No down payment to make, but nothing to show at the end of the lease.
