And if the future took a turn to the left, or right
Some things might happen, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. None of them have any real importance, but it’s fun to speculate on the What if? Imagine if the future turned a corner, instead of that habitual path straight through time, like a tornado out of control.
Tonight we have the final episode of Corner Gas, but there might be a movie. In the beginning, I didn’t quite “get it”, although seeing the girl from New Waterford Girl miscast as a Mountie was one of the better features. After all, any girl that could fix the love woes of a village in Cape Breton couldn’t go far past wrong, could it?
Winter is over, but it might come back for one final blowthrough. Just check out Summerside. If it wasn’t already a holiday, someone would declare a snow day. Not here; on the Island. Our city is far too organized to let a little bad weather disrupt whatever it is people do all day around here.
The Remparts are back in town for their series against Cape Breton. Things are close to being over, but the locals might win and prolong the agony for another night. I tried to “tune in” to the game via a web browser, but I draw the line at paying to watch bad hockey in a small window. I missed out on that one opportunity to go to a game back some months ago, so why change things at the last second. Besides, if a small miracle should happen, there’s still lots of time to become a supporter. Not that I’m going to put a flag on our car, like that guy that I see every time I leave the house. Doesn’t he have anything better to do all day?
