Call it proof of concept
I call the experiment a “small start’. Or “a humble beginning.” Perhaps a proof concept”. We’’ see, going forward.
The dog is generating a lot of fluff. Short dog hair. The loss is seasonal, but it also tends to build up around the house. Under the couch. Under the bed. Etc. Our means of control has been manual. With a pet brush, outside. Releasing a new layer of bedding for the rodents. And in the house, I pick things up with the vacuum. Today, I decided to go with a better idea. Save a step in the process. And so, I tried vacuuming the dog. He wasn’t impressed, but he didn’t fight back. Or try to hide under the couch or the bed. I gave my trial run a brief timeline, and we’ll see, going forward, if it can become a regular thing. I detected no untoward shaking or shivering, so this could resolve our autumn issue.
Outside, it’s nasty. Cool, wet. No snow, so I’m taking this as a win early December. I mean, we could be deep into shovel time.
In the real world, we are now within three weeks of the holidays. Should I refer to the period as the “holy days” or the “holly days”? I guess it depends on how tied you are to the old ways. I am going with “should be shopping except for pandemia”. Easier on my bank balance, although there are stores that surely would like to renew acquaintance. Maybe next year. And can I have an upgrade on my mask class? What replaces N95 for the common citizen?
