Pass the long hours with food
Some days, like this one, prove why schedules are an asset. We got up and set off in search of a dump station (best that we empty before the full point). With construction reroutings, it took much longer than usual to align ourselves with that magic hole in the ground. But, we did, buying a few more days of “mobile home away from home”. And with that pesky detail out of the way, we went to find a genuine “gargantua breakfast”.
Yes, there were eggs and bacon. And sausage. And cretons on fresh toast, with a side of baked beans and home fried potatoes. Oh, and a single blueberry pancake which I ignored. I mean, there was no chance of leaving the table hungry.
With my waistline expanded to full, I went shopping for a couple of new pairs of pants. And a new belt. After all, we don’t have stores where I live, so best to profit from the opportunity. As well, there as a convenient garage that we could request to install our new windshield wiper. They didn’t in the end, and we didn’t get to take our new wiper with us. Leave me a winter to decode that.
The day was far fom over, and with hours left to spend, we hunkered down at the “factory” and waited for evening. A big restaurant supper with the kids. We all ate well (too much, in truth) and then did what families do… took photos outside in the dar and hugged each other goodbye for now.
At least the GPS lady knew how to get up back to our campground.
