A pause for sandy paws

posted in pets |

Looking at a storm, after the fact, is not wasted. We learn for the next time, etc. In the case of yesterday’s storm, we came out with less snow on the ground, and some decent temperatures. Today, the best time of day was mid-afternoon, when we reached a balmy +7. Destroyed any possibility of skiing. Or snowshoeing. In fact, as we pass the date of “imbolc”, I feel blessed. Another year without parka requirements? Maybe.

I did go out for the regular RV check. No problems to report. No mice, either. Maybe those electronic gadgets actually work! Now if we could only travel.

For those that brag about being “proud”, the group has formally received its terrorist designation. Not sure what that means, but it sounds like a good thing. Bottom line: don’t brag.

Yesterday (or the day before; things blend together) I mentioned a particular arena. Today, the municipality announced that it will close for the rest of the winter. Keeps people from unnecessary gatherings, and saves on the cost of running the ice plant. A win-win situation. For those paying attention, skating in circles is dangerous. You might fall, or get tired, or collide with tiny particles of virus. Stay home!

The dog went for a beach walk, this afternoon (accompanied by an adult), and sent back photos. Dog-selfies. He looked like he was in control of things. Give the dog a lot of credit; getting sand in all those toes would offset others. He just shakes it off and keeps on coming. We did wipe those paws when he came home, for the record.
