Sleep, perchance to dream

posted in environment |

Please don’t ask; I realize that I am hours ahead of my regular schedule. I blame it on the dog, for waking me up. Also, on the perfectly clear night sky which should have shown me Auroral beauty, except that I can’t claim to have seen anything out of the ordinary. Oh, and my footprint in the snow (still involves the dog).

And so, here I am, in the kind of near silence that makes me aware of just how much ambient noise is produced by my refrigerator.

Going forward, people will ask how we spent our time during the pandemic. A special nod to Taylor, the Swift. She released a new album at midnight (is that west coast or east coast time). Doesn’t matter. This is her second album in the last six months. And she has decided to re-record her whole back catalog. You go, girl! The rest of us are trying to find the initiative to prepare meals and tie our shoes.

I’m trying to visualize how to cleanly pass a number of antenna cables from the almost completed suspended ceiling below me. More practical than my effort from a few hours ago, where I tried to visualize solving several multiplication problems on the whiteboard of my mind. Hey, sixteen by sixteen is TOUGH! Trying  to keep my “carries” from tangling together. Yes, I should have been asleep, counting sheep, but I have only seen those walking fur balls at a distance. Wool balls.  Oh, I definitely should go back to bed; this is deteriorating rapidly.
