The latest kludge for audio
A couple of weeks ago (time goes by FAST), I mentioned that I had hit start on the driver permit renewal process. The non-contact, non-visit version; new to me. And today, in closure, I received that coveted little piece of plastic with my old photo. It worked! No more though required, for a full five years. Hey, by then, we could have flying vehicles and internet that actually reaches a measurable speed!
It’s astonishing how much of my personal supply chain comes in by postal delivery. Why, a half-century ago, we were getting close (remember the banking services), but I thought that was an artefact from a bygone era. No! Right now, if I can’t get delivery, I don’t even shop. Keeps my credit card busy, to be sure.
The wind has been blowing, noisily, since before sunrise. All the way up to 60+, which makes the windows rattle and the dog trying to keep his ears lowered any time he goes outside. I didn’t go… except for a brief garbage run. The temperature is in double digits, so we’re safe from snow. Unlike the area where my siblings hang out. Hey, not too late to enjoy some of our temperate climate. Beach days!
We’re back to playing with Bluetooth on the main TV. I’ve taken a gadget from my own headphones, and through a kludge managed to pair the high end headphone with the flatscreen. The downside is that an audio cable has to be connected/disconnected depending on the audience, and the question of battery life is still an unsolved mystery. But, we’re moving forward.
