Two-person task handled solo
My daily plan? There wasn’t one. When the afternoon seemed to require my getting something done, I fell back on the old standby of doing laundry. And with that off the list, I moved along to seasonal jobs. Today? Why, putting the BBQ in the garage, of course.
Not a job to be taken lightly, nor was it a light job. Following the required disassembly (AKA weight reduction), I cleared a path through the kitchen and then moved the appliance through and down a couple of steps into the winter storage area. I’ve done this, enough times, that there are no real surprises. Yes, it would be easier with two people, but when left to my own devices I can be quite adept at the lift and tug needed. No injuries, no foul language. Just a clear vision of what I want as an outcome.
So, there. The deck is now cleared and ready for any unexpected precipitation.
I also did my bi-weekly looksee in the RV. Again, some water in the door well, which raises a few question marks, but the motor turned over without hesitation, and the electrical levels seemed “right”. Pretty easy.
Today’s mail brought a pair of external hard drive cases. Now, the two drives that were floating on the kitchen table are encapsulated, and if I suddenly need to format either drive I can do so. I have a plan (involving Linux) that will need one of the drives. As well, a Raspberry Pi that can boot from a drive might be a fun gadget to have in my toolkit.
