Dazed and confused
Not simply a reference to a Led Zeppelin air, I guess. Caught a news clip from a legislative hearing somewhere in the sunny south: did you know that wearing a surgical mask is an affront to the “beautiful breathing created by god”? Me neither. Picture a pack of fools, convened by a pack of lies.
There are those who think that Fox is a news network, and that the efforts to lower the virulence of the current pandemic are wrong. Wow! Wait until they learn that the virus also has a side effect of killing folks.
Up here, we’ve been secure from folks that proselytize. Well, today I received a hand written missive, in a plain envelope, containing a tract. Unsure how to respond (there was a return address). I guess it was the lesser of two possibilities. To be fair, there’s a tiny twinge of pleasure in rejecting the “truth” offered by humble strangers on my doorstep.
The car dealer, referenced yesterday, wants our business. They’ve already called; made concessions (is that why they known as concessionaires? Didn’t think so). If trends continue, several weeks from now there should be a “new rig” in the yard. Meanwhile, we still have to provide care and attention to our faithful little rogue. Annual inspection later this week. A/c repairs, next week. An eventual detailing (me with a brush, vacuum cleaner and hose) before transfer to son #2, who is actually more of a bike kind of guy. Probably a good thing. Keeps the driveway from showing a glut.
